Technical Assistant | Jack's Creek

Jack’s Creek has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Technical Assistant to join our team on a casual basis, working full-time hours.


Jack’s Creek is a family-owned and operated mixed cropping and cattle enterprise located at Breeza on the Liverpool Plains, NSW. Internationally recognised for producing premium Australian beef and recently awarded World’s Best Wagyu at the 2026 World Steak Challenge, we are committed to excellence in livestock production, innovation, and sustainable agricultural practices.

As a Technical Assistant, you will work closely with our cattle operations team to support
day-to-day management of livestock operation, while collaborating with the broader Jack’s
Creek team. This is a great opportunity to develop your career within a progressive and well-established agricultural business.

Travel to Australia and accommodation provided.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate livestock records 
  • Update software systems; Livestock Management (Stockbooks) & Feed Management (BeefTracker)
  • Track, record and upload to Integrity Systems; livestock movements, deaths and tag replacements
  • Coordinate livestock movements, stock-takes, veterinary supplies and LPA documentation.
  • Assist with livestock scheduling, performance monitoring and month-end reporting.
  • Provide administrative support across the cattle operations team and liaise with Jack’s Creek Accounts.
  • Undertake hands-on station and livestock duties as required.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Strong communication, organisational and computer skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with Stockbook, BeefTracker or similar livestock management software is advantageous.
  • Agricultural Science qualification or relevant industry experience.
  • Advanced computer skills (Office, Excel, Word)

Requirements:

  • First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Chemical Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Ability to provide two references.
  • Willingness to undertake a criminal background check.
